The large amount of used toner and printer consumables should be considered waste unlike any other, so dedicated systems are designed to separate cartridge plastics. The powders inside them are processed and aspirated by special ATEX-compliant systems for reuse. The first processing phase is done by a four-shaft shredder that reduces the materials to a particle size of 40 mm to allow the separation of the powders and metallic materials in subsequent stages.
