Innovation and tradition
Backers Maschinenbau GmbH is a traditional company with its roots in smithery. Founded in the early 19th century, the family-owned enterprise today is managed already in the seventh generation by Heinz Christian Backers.
Since over 20 years now, we have specialized ourselves in the development and production of modern starscreen machinery. These are employed, for example, in the waste disposal industry, in agriculture or in road construction and civil engineering. Our customers are from all over the world: The starscreens with the yellow star are known in Italy and France as well as in Japan, Australia and the USA.
We manufacture all of our machines in CE conformity. The machine parts of the starscreens are manufactured partly in in-plant production but also in cooperation with long-time suppliers. Backers starscreen machines are exclusively finally assembled at the Twist (Germany) location. Here we employ a staff of more than 40 individuals right now.
Our guiding principles
The focus of our work is the user. We have therefore continuously further developed and perfected our starscreen technology over the past 27 years. Backers starscreens stand for well thought-out technology and quality work down to the last detail. So we work daily with large knowhow and great commitment to find and implement practice-oriented solutions for our clients. Therefore our guiding principle: Quality is when the customer returns and not the product.
Continuity and dependability
Our corporate policy is geared to being a dependable and competent partner for our customers, service providers, vendors and business partners. This claim is the guiding principle for responsible corporate action. This also includes maintaining trusting and respectful relations with our staff. All of Backers’ machinery is developed and manufactured at the traditional location in Twist (Germany) with wholehearted conviction.
The star as symbol
Backers Maschinenbau GmbH trademark is the yellow screen star. It expresses the corporate bonds to this screening technology that, for example, is clearly different from drum-screen technology. At the same time, it symbolizes the rise of starscreen technology starting in the nineties. The family-owned Backers Maschinenbau GmbH has the yellow star in its logo since 2002.
